METALLICA NEW ALBUM OUT EARLY IN UK
By this time your ears may have already adapted to Metallica's "The Day that never comes" which I am hearing in NU for at least 48 times a day! I actually like what they've did as they incorporated their style back in their way way heavy 80's days! I'm talking about their tunes from "Kill 'em All." Those quick-paced riffs and lightning quick finger-tapped solos by Hammet are back in today's Metallica. Sorry Jason, I don't miss you!
The new album, "Death Magnetic" was not available last time I checked our local stores or maybe, just maybe, I went to no-good record bar! So feel free to correct me. Death Magnetic was apparently leaked to net, and to my surprise, Lars Ulrich, has finally gotten in touch with reality and accepted the downside of the internet(at least for artists), peer to peer!
Still I would not encourage P2P, you can call it BS all you want, but hey, let's support our boys, it's like work you know, they have to eat!

HEAD E-HEAD NOW IN MOM'S WAKE
Top Eraserhead and Pupil Vocalist, Ely Buendia got out of the hospital 2 days ago and has attended her late mom's wake. Our condolences to his family!
According to his manager/publicisist, Day(short for inday) Cabuhat, Ely is "fully restored," which makes it sound like he's a machine! Oh well, let's just thank the Maker, Ely is ok and we hope the heads get back together! Sige na! Magbalikan na kayo!
Drop your side projects, that's what ruined you in the first place!

THIRD EYE BLIND IN MANILA
So Third Eye Blind, also called "3eb," will be kicking off SMB's "Octoberfest." Yes I know, it's only September, go tell the smart guys of SMB that! They won't care, it's just for marketing to make more money!
So the band is probably in Manila already, enjoying the Filipino Hospitality. And yes, like most kids today think they are EMO, NO thay are not. Anyway, I am linking to a blog for more details regarding this event.
Oh, have nothing against EMOs as well. Hush!

ELY RUSHED TO HOSPITAL, ERASERHEADS REUNION CUT SHORT
Just when I was about to get in the VIP section, the announcement came and the Eraserheads concert got cut due to Ely Buendia's condition. If you folks remember, this dude suffered a heart attack some time ago while on a gig. Hopefully nothing serious happened to Ely but hey, we gotta thank the heads for doing this to us, their loyal fans. It appears that Buendia got stressed too much, we also have to remember that his mom just died a day ago.
After their first set(included "Alapaap", "Ligaya", "Wag mo ng itanong", "Fruitcake", etc...), fans waited for about half an hour, and again, I was about to transfer to the VIP when we finally got the annoucement. Should've known that when I saw panicked faces. Then I just got the text message from my contact in MTV that the show was being cancelled just now(can you belive that?), due to network problems.
It's also one helluva viral marketing. I couldn't believe the people that came and paid to see the filipinos' fab four in just a short period of time with not much info and advertisments. I also have to mention the thousands of "orcs" outside the venue listening to the concert and desperately trying to view the combo!
Again, Ely, Raymond, Buddy and Marcus, astig kayo!

TICKET SITE NEEDS A SUPERPROXY
Ticketnet apparently needs a superproxy for their servers as they can't seem to handle transactions. They howver disclaim, that the influx is coming from Eheads fans wanting to purchase tickets. Tickets which weirdly have not been priced yet! How can you buy something without a price?

EHEADS REUNION, JUST A FEW MORE DAYS
It's jus a few more days and the boys will be playing together! It was way back in 93 i first heard of them, I think I just got circumsized by then. The combo on the run almost got their reunion sidelined in a poor man's grave but thanks to Sony BMG, the reunion is saved from just being an idea.
The downside is that, the concert will not be free but this anyway will fend off our friendly neighborhood orcs who just love watching and crashing concerts. You can a compilation of Raymond Marasigan's messages about the Eheads reunion in Odysseylive.Net. It's really a cool website!

6UG GOES TV AND RADIO
We took a vacations and that makes us human after all! 6UG or six underground, that cool bar in ortigas, right in front of our conyo friends in UA&P goes TV and radio as they partner with Studio 23 and NU107 respectively. Well it says in their website, http://www.underground.ph/, that this took 6 months to happen! And yes indeed, the "time has come!"
Ok, before I go, need to mention to those guys they need to take out their javascripts because it prevents them from being google optimized, if there are geeks here who can understand me. Or maybe, they really want to be underground, even on the net!
Also, need volunteers like writers and photographers! I'll buy you mcdo when we meet. Send us an email at volunteer@brutalgrace.net .

DMB SAX MAN PASSES AWAY :(
This is another day for the loss of a great artist! I have been a big fan of Dave Matthews since the beginning of my smoking days in college, and today the news of the death of DMB's, Leroi Moore, is just saddenning. Mr. Moore is the band's Sax player. Yeah, he's the guy behind dave's adlibs in "Crush." Ironically, Moore died of car crash at the wonder age of 46.
There is no death, there is the Force!

KIKO HAS LEUKEMIA
This is bad news and for stories like this, I always say we can always pray and hope for the best! In case you people are wondering why are we talking about Francis M in this website, you have to warp back in the 90s and remember Francis M released an album with a metal band called Cannabis. Not sure if it was Freeman or Happy Battle but if you have that album, tell me if it didn't please your auditory senses. It was a mix of rap, folk, heavy metal and funk music!

EAST ASIAN WHAT? SLAPSHOCK REPS PINAS
Kicking off things, we read from Inquirer.net an article about Project EAR, and EAR actually stands for East Asian Revolution. Well dunno about that, sounds funny, uhmm sorry. Well this happened during MTV Asia Awards, and our boys from Slapshock represented the country.
I know there are a lot of Slappy fans and haters round here, but hey you got to admit, the Slappies got game. They just oversold themselves back in the not so old times. You can even read it below the article in Inquirer.
